Arab Steel Summit 2010
The «Arab Steel
Summit 2010» to be organized by the Arab Iron and Steel Union (AISU) and
scheduled to be held in the period 07 – 10 March 2010 in Marrakesh City, Kingdom
of Morocco, wears a special importance based on its being held in the North
Africa region which sees a great growth of demand for the iron and steel
products and major expansion projects in this industry.
Likewise, what the
Arab steel markets see of the continued demand for the steel products and an
active movement in respect of setting up many industries depending on, and
connected with the steel products make these markets a regional and
international polarization center for many investments, in addition to its
effective position in the world trade movement.
Despite the
improvement appearing in the situations of the world steel industry during the
past months, in which the Asian countries have played the greatest role, the
future of the steel industry still is a source of worry for those who are
involved in this industry – companies, investors and traders. This will have a
significant focus in our conference of 2010.
Hence, we look forward to hold this
important event with the theme
«Arab Steel Summit
2010» as a meeting
for many Arab and world companies, steel industry experts, technologies
holders and the parties involved in this industry of investors, businessmen
and economic activities.
We, as an Arab Iron and Steel Union
comprising more than 86 companies from 18 Arab countries the production of which
represents about 90% of the total Arab steel production, welcomes your
efficient participation in the
«Arab Steel Summit
2010». We also invite you to
contribute to this meeting by presenting working papers reflecting your
points of view, and experiences in whatever is in relation to the development
of this industry at both regional and international levels and also your
recommendations to make this meeting a forum to exchange opinions on
whatever serves the development and integration and continuity of growth of
this industry on all production, commercial and market scales.
Synchronizing with the
«Arab
Steel Summit 2010», the Arab Iron and Steel Union organizes the
«World Steel Exhibition 2010» which will be a suitable
environment for the companies to exhibit their iron and steel products or
the modern innovations and technical solutions which help develop the
productivity of the iron and steel industry, in addition to its being the
right place for producers to meet the organizations and companies active in
the field of the iron and steel trade.
